Kate Middleton’s modest home outshone by Pippa’s ‘more impressive’ £15 million mansion

Kate Middleton and her younger sister Pippa Middleton share a close relationship, but their living situations are notably different. Kate and her husband, Prince William, reside in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, a modest four-bedroom house set in 655 acres.

This residence reflects their preference for a low-key family environment without live-in staff, a stark contrast to Pippa’s lavish £15 million Georgian mansion with 32 rooms, situated on a 150-acre estate. Pippa, married to hedge fund manager James Matthews, lives in this grand home with their three children. The Middleton family remains closely-knit, with all members residing near each other in Berkshire.

Despite her royal status and future as queen, Kate prioritizes a grounded family life, evident in her choice of a simpler home compared to her sister’s opulent residence. This decision underscores her desire to balance royal duties with providing a normal upbringing for her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The sisters’ differing homes highlight their unique lifestyles and personal choices while maintaining strong familial bonds and mutual support.

Kate’s residence at Adelaide Cottage, which required some renovation before moving in, aligns with her and William’s intention to create a down-to-earth environment for their family. Meanwhile, Pippa’s estate, purchased in 2021, features extensive grounds and a recent addition of a large swimming pool, reflecting a more extravagant lifestyle.

Both sisters, despite their contrasting living arrangements, emphasize the importance of family. Kate, during her health struggles, has leaned heavily on Pippa and their parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, who live nearby in a £5 million manor. This proximity ensures that the Middleton family remains supportive and connected, embodying the close-knit nature of their relationships.
