In 2022, Kate Middleton was notably seen taking an economy flight to Scotland with her two youngest children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, while Prince William and Prince George traveled separately. This choice of transportation surprised many, given the royal family’s usual travel luxuries. A fellow passenger on the flight shared their experience on TikTok, highlighting Kate’s down-to-earth demeanor. The passenger noted, “On a flight to Scotland, Kate Middleton, both kids, nanny and security 2 rows in front of me. Could get a private jet or helicopter but keeping it simple, flying economy.”

The passenger went on to describe how Kate even attended to her daughter’s iPad during the flight and was personable, smiling and interacting with her children. Despite being a royal, Kate’s behavior was described as that of an ordinary mother on vacation.
