The potential return of Meghan Markle to the acclaimed legal drama series “Suits” has garnered significant attention and speculation. As the highly anticipated spin-off series commences production, inquiries regarding the Duchess of Sussex’s potential involvement in her former acting endeavor have intensified.

Prior to her marriage to Prince Harry and subsequent transition into the British Royal Family, Ms. Markle portrayed the character of Rachel Zane in the popular television show from 2012 until her departure in 2018, after a remarkable tenure spanning 100 episodes. However, following her decision to step back from her senior royal duties, speculation surrounding a potential revival of her acting career has persisted, particularly in light of the forthcoming spin-off series.

While the Duchess has not explicitly ruled out the possibility of reprising her role or pursuing future acting opportunities, the matter remains shrouded in uncertainty. Casting reports indicate that Arrow’s Stephen Amell is set to portray Ted Black, while The Walking Dead’s Josh McDermitt is slated for a significant role.

However, there are hints that fan favorites Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) may make a comeback. At the recent Golden Globes, Adams teased their potential return, stating, “Sure. Mike and Rachel in Seattle. They gotta come down to LA. they gotta fix some stuff.”

While the new series introduces a fresh narrative arc, the possibility of beloved characters resurfacing has piqued the interest of longtime fans of the original show.

The actor in question expressed his enthusiasm for reprising his previous role, stating, “If the opportunity arose, if I received the call, I am prepared to don the costume once more. I harbor great affection for the show and the character, as well as for the individuals with whom I collaborated.”

Meghan Markle, too, had previously expressed her fondness for her former role, telling Oprah Winfrey, “One should never say never.” She also hinted at her inclination to return to romantic comedy roles, adding, “I miss them immensely. I have likely watched ‘When Harry Met Sally’ innumerable times, along with all of Julia Roberts’ romantic comedies. We ought to revisit those.”

Despite speculation, a royal expert believes Meghan could face challenges if she were to return to acting. Tom Quinn informed the Mirror, “Harry and Meghan have discussed the possibility of Meghan returning to acting should the couple’s commercial ventures fail – but circumstances have evolved since Meghan last acted, which might render a comeback exceedingly difficult.”
