The insider noted that improving relations with his son remains a priority, though it may be a gradual process.
The message from the Royal Family comes as a surprise to some, especially since reports indicated that King Charles was considering a phone call to mark Harry’s milestone birthday, while William was unlikely to reach out. The brothers had last been seen together at a memorial service for their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, but reportedly did not speak.
Harry’s 40th birthday was marked by a low-key celebration with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, at their home in California. Following this, Harry planned a camping trip in the Colorado mountains with friends, including explorer Inge Solheim.
