Prince Harry ‘behaved like a spoiled brat’ after being evicted by King

The decision to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage last year reportedly left the Duke of Sussex feeling “furious” and “in tears.” This eviction came shortly after the release of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” and the couple was instructed to remove their belongings from their former UK residence. By June, they had completely vacated the property.

Additionally, it was revealed last week that Harry had changed his primary residence from the United Kingdom to the United States, with the change backdated to June 29, 2023 – the same day the Palace confirmed the couple had left Frogmore Cottage. According to royal biographer Tom Quinn, Harry viewed the eviction as a “slap in the face” and “vindictive.”

This situation highlights the ongoing tensions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family, following their decision to step back from their senior roles and relocate to the United States.

The recent revelation surrounding Prince Harry’s change of primary residence sheds light on a series of events that unfolded months ago. According to reports, Harry officially altered his primary residence on June 29, 2023, the very day he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate. This detail emerged from newly filed business documents in the United States.

The eviction from Frogmore Cottage, a property gifted to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by the late Queen Elizabeth II upon their marriage in 2018, was a significant blow to Harry. Renovations to the cottage had reportedly cost taxpayers around £2.4 million ($A4.29 million) before the couple moved in.

Sources indicate that Harry was deeply affected by the eviction, describing it as a “slap in the face” and the “last straw.” He was reportedly “absolutely furious and in tears,” feeling that his father, King Charles III, had no right to take such action, which he perceived as purely vindictive.

This incident highlights the ongoing tensions within the royal family and provides insight into the emotional turmoil surrounding Harry’s decision to change his primary residence, a move that may have been precipitated by the eviction from Frogmore Cottage.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, resided at Frogmore Cottage for a brief period of less than a year before announcing their decision to step back from royal duties and relocate overseas in early 2020. Subsequently, it has been reported that they have reimbursed the cost of renovations to the property after securing a series of lucrative commercial deals. While Harry is anticipated to return to the UK for the 10th Anniversary service of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8, there has been no official confirmation or indication regarding Meghan’s potential attendance.
