Royal Family ‘disappointed with how King has handled family issues’ claims insider

King Charles has reportedly “upset everyone” in the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla, due to his handling of various family issues, an insider claims. The Royal Family has faced numerous challenges this year, including ongoing tensions between Prince Harry and Prince William, Prince Andrew’s refusal to leave the Royal Lodge, and the cancer diagnoses of King Charles and Princess Kate. Despite his illness, King Charles has continued to make public appearances, but the family issues have taken a toll on him. He is said to have sought “spiritual counsel” to help cope with the ongoing crises.

An insider suggested that King Charles is worried about the problems facing all senior royals in recent months and their implications for the future of the monarchy. He is also reportedly aware that some family members are “disappointed” with how he has managed the situation regarding the Royal Lodge.

Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine, the source said: “Charles does look at the current state of his family with deep concern. Everyone, it seems, has issues, whether it be health, financial, or legal. This situation with Andrew and the Royal Lodge has somewhat divided the family…with Anne, Sophie, and Edward all disappointed in how he’s handled it. Then there’s the diabolical situation with his two beloved sons. There are fallouts with Sarah, Beatrice, and Eugenie, who are deeply concerned Andrew is not being protected.”

The source also mentioned that the King had “even managed to upset Camilla,” as she has been the most exposed to his “irritability” regarding various issues. Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment on these claims.

Recent reports suggest that Prince Andrew may have to vacate his Royal Lodge home after King Charles decided to lay off his security team. The monarch reportedly informed the 10-member security detail that their services would no longer be required from the autumn. Speculation has increased that Prince Andrew, who is no longer a working royal, may have to leave the £30 million 19th-century mansion as tensions with his brother rise.

King Charles has been privately funding guards at the Windsor property since Andrew’s armed police protection was removed in 2022. Prince Andrew currently resides at the Lodge in Windsor with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and has reportedly rejected several requests to leave the property since Charles became King. Friends of Andrew state that his 75-year lease on the Lodge has led him to believe he has no reason to give up the home he has lived in for the past 20 years. It remains unclear who would move into the Lodge if Andrew were to leave.
