Prince William has ‘brutal plan for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when he is King’

Prince William, heir to the British throne, is reportedly planning for his future reign and considering what it will mean for his estranged brother Prince Harry and sister-in-law Meghan Markle. According to a source quoted in the Express newspaper, William does not envision a future role for the Sussexes within the Royal Family.

The source stated: “William is already planning for when he becomes King, and he doesn’t see a future for the Sussexes in the Royal Family. The feeling is that allowing the Sussexes back into the fold is a bad move and they should be resigned to the fringes indefinitely.”

This reported stance comes amid an ongoing rift between the brothers that has persisted for several years. Their relationship became particularly strained following Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back from royal duties in 2020 and relocate to California. The publication of Harry’s memoir “Spare” in 2023 further exacerbated tensions, as it contained claims that William had physically attacked Harry during an argument at Kensington Palace.

Despite their estrangement, the brothers were briefly reunited last week for a memorial service honoring their late uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes. The service took place in Snettisham, Norfolk, and marked what is believed to be the first time William and Harry have been in the same room since King Charles’ coronation in 2023.

Observers at the memorial noted that the brothers maintained their distance, reportedly standing just five yards apart without exchanging any words. They were said to have sat on opposite sides of the church aisle during the service, separated by other family members.

One attendee described the scene: “They were only five yards from each other. They were sat two or three rows back from the front, not at the back, but they were on opposite sides of the aisle. And then there were family members on the rest of the seats between them, so maybe that is something that was arranged.”

The article also mentions that Harry made a rushed trip from California to attend the service for Lord Fellowes, who was Princess Diana’s brother-in-law and served as private secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II during the 1990s. Lord Fellowes passed away in August 2024 at the age of 82.

While the brothers were able to set aside their differences to pay respects at the memorial, their continued estrangement was evident to those present. After the service, Harry was reportedly seen being driven away in a black Range Rover.

The ongoing tension between William and Harry has been a subject of intense media scrutiny and public interest. Their relationship, once close, has deteriorated significantly in recent years, with no clear signs of reconciliation on the horizon.

As William prepares for his future role as King, his reported plans to keep Harry and Meghan at arm’s length from the Royal Family suggest that the rift may persist well into the future. This stance, if accurate, could have long-term implications for the structure and dynamics of the British monarchy.
